Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Roaming Rock Breaker Operator to safely operate heavy equipment across the North Alabama territory. The role requires occasional overnight travel and the ability to work in varied weather and terrain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school diploma or certificate in equipment operation highly desired.
• Less than 2 years experience operating heavy equipment in a quarry or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and MSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of equipment including excavators, haul trucks, dozers, and graders.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Utilize Rock Breaker Attachment on an Excavator to meet business need and operational goals.
• Excavate and move earth, rock, and materials to support quarry operations.
• Maintain haul roads and work areas for safe traffic flow.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Complete paperwork or electronic documentation as required.
