Job summary

Penske Refrigeration Technician role involves diagnosing, overhauling, and repairing refrigeration units for commercial trucks and trailers at the Atlanta location. You will test electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, read complex schematics, and document repairs with precision.

The position requires 6 years of tractor-trailer maintenance experience, HS diploma or equivalent, and preferred ASE/608/609 certifications. Some travel and DOT/OSHA safety compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience in tractor trailer maintenance
• Specialized training in overhaul of refrigeration components
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance knowledge

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair refrigeration units on commercial trucks/trailers.
• Test lines, components, and connections with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic tools.
• Read and interpret complex schematics for refrigeration and AC equipment.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair orders.
• Maintain safe, clean work area; perform road tests as needed.
• Use hand and power tools to service equipment and subsystems.
• Support preventative maintenance and tractor-trailer maintenance per location needs.
• Inspect parts for conformance to factory specs.
