Job summary

Cypress Rail Solutions is hiring Railcar Repair Technicians to support inspection, maintenance, and repair operations in Vermillion, SD. This full-time, mobile role offers hands-on work with varied locations and opportunities to grow skills alongside experienced rail professionals.

Applicants should have a strong mechanical background; welding and machine experience is preferred. Travel up to 50%+ and safe work practices are required. CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background required.
• Welding and machine experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, work instructions and procedures.
• Willingness to learn rail industry rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile railcar repairs under supervision.
• Remove and replace brake systems, couplers, draft gears, air hoses, valves and fittings.
• Repair or replace structural components including posts, floors, panels and underframes.
• Weld, burn, straighten, patch, and install steel components with proper tools.
