Job summary
Cypress Rail Solutions LLC is hiring Railcar Repair Technicians to support inspection, maintenance, and repair operations in the Vermillion area. This full-time role offers hands-on work, travel across locations, and opportunities to grow skills alongside experienced rail professionals.
The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, welding/machine experience is a plus, and the ability to follow safety rules and procedures on outdoor worksites. CDL is preferred and training will be provided.
Qualifications
- GED or higher required.
- Must be able to read and follow safety rules and procedures.
- Strong mechanical background preferred; welding experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform mobile railcar repairs under supervision.
- Remove/replace brake systems, couplers, draft gears, air hoses, valves and fittings.
- Repair structural components and railcar body parts as needed.
- Weld, burn, straighten, patch, and install steel components.
- Stencil letters/numbers; prepare railcars for painting.
- Inspect and maintain railcar surfaces and components.
- Follow safety rules and FRA/AAR requirements.
