Cypress Rail Solutions LLC is hiring a Welder (Railcar Repair Technician) in its Omaha Repair Shop. This hands-on role focuses on repairing, assembling, and safely operating on railcars and tank cars in an industrial setting.

You will work with shop leadership to complete repairs, learn the rail industry, and grow skills under experienced technicians and supervisors. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and component replacement including brake assemblies, hoses, and couplers.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate steel components using torches and electric welders.
• Assemble and align railcar parts according to drawings.
• Inspect work for quality and document results.
• Assist with disassembly and material handling.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and perform finishing tasks.
• Maintain air brake systems and related components.
• Read blueprints and work orders to determine repair needs.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
