Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Clinical Staff Specialist for our mobile unit in Raleigh, NC. This full-time role runs Tuesday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, supporting MRI or PET Technologists with patient care, documentation, and infection control.

You will help patients enter and exit facilities, set IVs, monitor scans, record histories, and ensure supplies are ready. Candidates should have a high school diploma, CPR, and relevant healthcare credentials; EMT/EMTP/RN preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• EMT/EMTP/RN credential required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and IV proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist MRI or PET Technologist with patient care and medical records.
• Assist patient in entering/exiting facilities and communicate empathetically.
• Maintain patient care standards and accurate recording of data.
• Set patient IVs in preparation for contrast or radiopharmaceuticals.
• Monitor patients during scans and enter scan data into the system.
• Record patient histories and collect waived lab results; support infection control procedures.
