Job summary

Elara Caring in Huntley, IL is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team. You will provide therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, delivering care to patients in their homes.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• 6+ months of PTA experience preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and move patients/equipment.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals to improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques.
• Instruct patients and families on safe use of assistive devices.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders and clinical standards.
