Job summary

Caringhand Home Health Solutions, Inc in California is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to work with a licensed Physical Therapist in patients’ homes, helping them recover mobility and return to activities they love.

This field-based, per diem position requires travel to patient homes. Compensation is $90-$95 per visit, with mileage reimbursement, paid sick days, paid bereavement leave, and ongoing skills development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Active PTA license from the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Current CPR certification with AHA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient’s care plan.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
• Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as required for patient services
