Job summary

Eight Sleep is seeking a Product Designer for the mobile team to shape the Eight Sleep app with a strong focus on user-centered design, data-driven decision making, and end-to-end ownership. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Brand, and Research & Development to deliver high-quality, data-informed designs that balance aesthetics with usability.

You’ll be an interdisciplinary generalist, owning IA, visual design, and interaction patterns, and contributing to a design system while

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in UX and UI, with a strong portfolio including live mobile examples.
• Shipped designs to public users and have data that proves either success or failure.
• Able to consider technical implications of design decisions and balance user value with technical effort.
• Experience coaching junior designers and collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers.
• Obsessed with simplicity and a high-quality aesthetic in design.
• Open to occasional travel to other office locations (San Francisco, Milan, New York).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related design field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end of the Eight Sleep app, from IA to high-fidelity mockups.
• Validate designs with usability studies and user interviews to inform decisions.
• Iterate based on qualitative and quantitative insights to improve engagement and reduce churn.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Brand, and Research & Development teams.
• Build, document, and organize UI components in the design system to ensure consistency.
• Present design updates to C-suite leadership for feedback and approval.
