Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to provide independent contractor services for military service members, primarily on weekends with occasional weekday shifts under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) in West Virginia. Positions may require travel to remote military installations and multiple locations.

Applicants should hold an active NP license in the relevant state, CPR/BLS, and have experience in primary or occupational health.

Qualifications

Active NP license in West Virginia or eligible state
CPR/BLS certification required
Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred
Experience with mobile medical services preferred
Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments with high patient volumes
Willingness to work extended hours and travel to remote locations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer literacy and electronic documentation familiarity
Not required to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications

Responsibilities

Support Physical Health Assessments for military personnel.
Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
Interview personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
Identify urgent concerns including behavioral health.
Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record.
