Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform waived tests in a remote/mobile setting under supervision of the Laboratory Manager. You will monitor reagent quality and instrument conditions to ensure accurate results.

Responsibilities include specimen reception, data entry into the lab information system, QC monitoring, and performing a range of point-of-care assays. The role requires attention to safety, detail, and reliable communication with the team.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• High school diploma; CA waived testing licensure required (MLT/LVN).

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens from phlebotomists and couriers.
• Enter patient demographics and orders into the LIS.
• Perform waived tests across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, molecular and coagulation.
• Monitor QC and report issues to supervisor in real time.
• Perform blood collection by venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Maintain inventory and ensure safety and documentation compliance.
