Job summary

The Health Alliance is seeking a travel-friendly phlebotomist to collect urine and phlebotomy specimens at Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes in North Carolina. You will ensure accurate specimen collection, proper documentation, and timely transport while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to policies, and excellent communication with patients, families and facility staff.

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• Nationally Certified Phlebotomist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Complete requisitions accurately.
• Process and package specimens for transport and maintain required records.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain collection logs and station cleanliness.
• Report on time to work and adhere to attendance guidelines.
• Answer phones professionally and communicate with clients and coworkers.
• Keep information confidential and notify supervisors of unresolved issues.
• Assist with inventories and stock supplies.
• Participate in teams and special projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
