Job summary

Premise Health is seeking Health Screeners to support biometric screenings in the Boston area. As part of eHealthScreenings, you will travel to client sites to perform health assessments for employees.

This PRN, event-based role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and mileage reimbursement. Ideal candidates have phlebotomy experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR certificate/diploma with hands-on externship.
• Over 100 fingersticks in last year or 200 venipunctures in last 6 months.
• Active state phlebotomy certification required for NV, CA WA, LA.

Responsibilities

• Perform biometric testing including height, weight, blood pressure, BMI
• Blood testing including fingerstick and venipuncture in fast-paced environment
• Prepare specimens for storage or processing
• Set up and break down portable biometric stations
• Transport supplies to/from health screening events (up to 20 lbs)
• Maintain logs and regulatory records
• Must have morning availability (Mon–Fri) for events
• May perform other duties as assigned

About the role

These positions are as-needed opportunities and offer flexibility in scheduling and highly competitive pay. We send you out to local companies within your area to perform health screenings for the employees of the companies.

What would make you successful in this role? Strong customer service skills, previous venipuncture and/or fingerstick experience, ability to use manual blood pressure cuff, tech savvy and excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform and record biometric testing results including, but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI (Body Mass Index)
• Blood testing including fingerstick and / or venipuncture blood draws in a fast-paced environment
• Preparation of specimens for storage or additional processing
• Set up and break down portable blood draw / biometric station(s)
• May need to transport supplies to and from health screening events (lifting up to 20 lbs.)
• Maintains the logs and records for all Laboratory transactions and information in accordance with department and regulatory requirements
• Must have morning availability (Monday-Friday) for event-based employment
• May require other duties as assigned

Education

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required
• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR one of the following:
• Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands-on externship completed
• Over 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or a minimum of 200 successful venipuncture blood draws within the last 6 months
• Active state specific Phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in NV, CA WA, and LA

Experience

• 1 year of experience of Health Screening or Phlebotomy experience preferred

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.

While a number of factors influence pay range, our estimated Massachusetts compensation is $28.00 - $35.00 an hour.
