Job description

Join to apply for the Mobile Phlebotomist (MAKO) role at Mako Medical.

Travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes to service patients. Treat all customers courteously. Ensure all urine and oral fluid specimens and phlebotomy specimens are collected accurately and on time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures.
  • Complete requisitions accurately.
  • Process and package specimens for transport. Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures, including manuals and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain collection logs.
  • Submit accurate expense forms as required.
  • Adhere to grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies, appearing neat and clean.
  • Report to work on time, following attendance guidelines.
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner, incorporating the company name and a helpful statement.
  • Keep information confidential per policies.
  • Report unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
  • Keep work area neat and dispose of biohazard containers properly.
  • Assist with inventories and other assigned tasks, including stocking supplies and clerical duties.
  • Participate in team activities and special projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
