Job summary

Hawthorne-Health seeks a Mobile Clinical Research Phlebotomist to perform in-home visits, collect blood, and handle specimens per study protocols.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• CDPH CPT I certification required.
• 1–2 years phlebotomy experience.
• Venipuncture experience with diverse populations.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to participant homes.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.
• Comfort with electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home visits with trial participants per study schedules.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens per protocols.
• Process, label, and prepare specimens for shipment to central labs.
• Accurately document study procedures and visit details.
• Maintain compliance with study protocols and GCP guidelines.
• Maintain chain of custody for specimens.
• Ensure participant safety, privacy, and comfort during visits.
• Communicate with coordinators and study teams as needed.
• Manage phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
