Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to service Lansing, MI, visiting patient homes, nursing facilities, and assisted living communities. The role emphasizes independent work with flexible schedules and direct patient care.

The ideal candidate will have phlebotomy certification (preferred) and experience with venipuncture in elderly populations, along with a valid license and reliable transportation. Competitive pay and mileage reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and minimum age 21.
• Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require fingerprinting.
• Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience required; additional credentialing completed prior to Home Draw.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Must possess a passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Lansing, Michigan
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate with laboratory and facility personnel
