Job summary

You will travel across Detroit, perform venipuncture, verify patient identity, label specimens, and document accurately, delivering labs directly to patients who cannot come to us.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and the stability of the nation’s largest long-term-care laboratory.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Detroit, MI.
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners.
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility personnel.
