Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Illinois is seeking a Donor Driver to operate a mobile drive vehicle, transport staff and supplies, and ensure a safe, high-quality donor experience. You will perform donor screening, phlebotomy, and coordinating with coordinators to align with drive schedules.

Hours include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays after a training period. Compensation includes benefits and opportunities for bilingual wage increases after certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• GED required.
• 1–3 years relevant people-facing experience preferred.
• Less than 1 year job-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follows all DOT guidelines when operating full-size commercial van/Promaster, and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Loads/unloads supplies and performs setup at the mobile site, including technology systems and quality control.
• Performs donor screening (collects donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Provides a service-centric donor experience with professional, empathetic interactions and timely responses.
• Rebooks donors for future donation appointments.
• Maintains department records as needed and supports equipment maintenance.
