Job summary

Our Blood Institute in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a phlebotomist to provide a safe, courteous donation experience and reliable donor care. No experience required; on-the-job training is provided, with a need for dependable transportation and ability to lift 40 lbs.

Flexible hours include mornings, evenings, and weekends. Responsibilities include donor registration, vitals, phlebotomy, record keeping, and adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college classes are a plus.
• On-the-job training provided with no prior experience required.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform donor registration, vitals, screening, phlebotomy and record keeping.
• Adhere to SOPs and regulatory standards for blood products.
• Assist supervisor with daily paperwork and documentation.
• Report equipment or procedure issues to supervisor promptly.
• Monitor donor comfort and manage any donor reactions.
• Educate donors on donation frequency and blood product needs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
