Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a CDL driver to support mobile blood drives across the region. The role includes donor greeting, health screening, and blood collection activities, along with safe transport and on‑site operations.

You will drive ARC vehicles, perform DOT procedures, and help set up/tear down equipment while maintaining a professional donor experience. A high school diploma and CDL are required, with phlebotomy or medical assisting training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or phlebotomy training preferred.
• Customer service experience and public relations skills required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL required.
• Previous truck/bus driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with federal, state, local regulations and ARC policies.
• Perform whole blood collection procedures and donor health screening.
• Greet, process and pack donors and provide donor care.
• Drive ARC vehicles; perform DOT paperwork and vehicle checks.
• Set up and tear down supplies and equipment; assist on site.
• Maintain professional image and positive public relations.
• Respond to donor needs while ensuring safety and quality of product.
