Job description

FLSA Status: Full-time | Non-Exempt | Hourly

Madison Core Labs is a state-of-the-art independent clinical laboratory seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team. We are committed to providing excellent service that positively impacts the lives of those we serve.

Position Summary: The Phlebotomist is responsible for efficiently and accurately collecting blood and specimen samples for laboratory analysis, depending on the facility. This position requires a flexible schedule serving Central Alabama, primarily in Tuscaloosa or surrounding areas, with working hours ranging between 5:30 am and 5 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately and efficiently collect blood and specimen samples based on facility needs.
  2. Identify patients and verify their personal information using ID and/or medical records.
  3. Ensure the quality and proper quantity of collected samples.
  4. Label samples correctly and send or deliver them for testing.
  5. Answer patient questions and provide relevant information.
  6. Adhere to health and safety standards while working in the facility and during travel.
  7. Follow instructions and perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience (preferred).

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Phlebotomy Certification.

Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have a clean motor vehicle driving record.
