Job summary

MobilexUSA is seeking a dedicated Mobile Phlebotomist to provide clinical pre-analytical laboratory services. This full-time position includes a shift schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm, with some weekend duties.

Responsibilities include driving to client facilities, collecting specimens, and maintaining communication with dispatch. Candidates must possess a current State phlebotomy license, a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid State phlebotomy license, if applicable.
  • Current, valid State Driver’s license; car insurance; good driving record.
  • Maintains sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contamination.

Shift Schedule

Full Time Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm and every other weekend.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.50-$21.50 based on experience with mileage reimbursement.

Role

The Mobile Phlebotomist, under the general supervision of the Area Phlebotomy Supervisor (APS), works to provide clinical pre‑analytical laboratory services to our clients/patients in a mobile setting. He/she is responsible for completing their assigned routes in a safe and timely manner. He/she must follow all policies and procedures.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Drive vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by company dispatcher.
  • Unload phlebotomy supplies and take them to patient’s bedside to collect samples ordered by physician.
  • Accurately identify patient before collecting specimen(s).
  • Accurately collect, label, process, and deliver specimens obtained from patients.
  • Reload equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt delivery.
  • Regularly communicate with dispatcher to report status and location.
  • Strict adherence to Universal Precautions in controlling blood‑borne pathogens and infectious disease exposures.
  • Maintain required certifications, health requirements, and operational requirements.
Required Skills
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills specific to the population served, including the pediatric and geriatric communities.
  • Treat customers and patients with respect, dignity, and discretion; acknowledging residents’ rights and patients’ right to refuse.
  • Current, valid State phlebotomy license, if applicable.
  • Current, valid State Driver’s license; car insurance; good driving record; possess a vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirements.
  • Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniques.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations.
  • Maintains sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contamination.
