Job summary

TridentCare in Fresno, CA is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to collect and handle patient specimens at client facilities, primarily nursing homes. You will identify patients, label samples, and ensure safe, accurate delivery to the laboratory.

The role requires driving your own vehicle to sites, unloading trays, and maintaining sterile, compliant procedures with universal precautions. A valid state phlebotomy license and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interaction skills with pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Respectful and discreet patient care, upholding residents’ rights.
• Must hold a valid State phlebotomy license.
• Must have a valid State Driver’s license; vehicle in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Drives personal vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by company dispatcher.
• Unloads phlebotomy tray and takes to patient’s bedside to collect samples ordered by physician.
• Accurately identifies patient before collecting specimen(s).
• Accurately collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens obtained from patients.
• Reloads equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt delivery.
• Regularly communicates with dispatcher to report status and location.
• Strict adherence to Universal Precautions in controlling blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease exposures.

• Regularly communicates with dispatcher to report status and location.
• Strict adherence to Universal Precautions in controlling blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease exposures.

Pay Rate: $18.50 - $19.50

• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniques
