The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Mobile Peer Support Specialist to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. The MPSS will work collaboratively with a team to provide crisis care to clients in the community. Our MPSS is responsible for providing mobile mental health crisis and outreach services to Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson Counties. MPSS’s are dedicated to resolving emergency situations by providing brief and intensive services with the goal of reducing the need for hospitalization and diverting from justice system contact. MPSS will additionally provide individual and group related support designed to promote skills for coping with and managing psychiatric symptoms at Guiding Lights Crisis Stabilization Center. Evenings Required (1+ days per week after 5 p);Weekends Required.
Required: Must be at least 18 years old, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Some post-high school education in the field of Human Services
