Job summary

Hawthorne-Health is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to travel to patient homes and perform echocardiograms on adults and children. You will transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment, explain procedures, and obtain informed cooperation from participants.

The role requires independent work in non-traditional settings, strong patient communication, and adherence to ASE standards. Travelers must have ARDMS/CCI credentials, AE adult certification, BLS and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• RDCS from ARDMS or RCS from CCI is required.
• AE certification in Adult required; Pediatric certification is a plus.
• 3+ years of recent sonography experience in adult and pediatric populations.
• BCS/BLS certification not optional.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a personal computer with reliable internet; tech savvy.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments.
• Time management and organizational skills.
