Job summary

Hawthorne-Health seeks a skilled RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI certified sonographer to perform echocardiograms in patient homes across the Tacoma area. The role involves traveling to visits, setting up portable ultrasound equipment, explaining procedures, and obtaining informed cooperation from participants.

You will acquire high-quality images, label properly for cardiology review, and complete preliminary reports with measurements and sonographer comments.

Qualifications

• RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI certification required.
• AE certification required; PE certification not required but a plus.
• 3+ years of recent sonography experience in both adult and pediatric populations.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet.
• Ability to work independently in field settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments.
• Time management and organizational skills.

WHAT YOU BRING | REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI.

• Certification in Adult (AE) is required, Pediatric (PE) certification not required but a plus

• 3+ years of recent sonography experience, in both adult and pediatrics

• BLS

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally

• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet required; Tech savvy and self sufficient with digital tools

• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
