Job summary

Tactile Medical, based in Worcester, MA, seeks a Patient Education Consultant to conduct in-person and telehealth trainings for our at-home therapy devices. You will educate patients and caregivers on device use, discuss financial options, and ultimately ensure proper product usage and satisfaction.

The role combines education, patient engagement, and direct sales responsibilities, requiring strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years in patient-facing education/training or highly advanced customer service role.
• Health related certification or medical device/healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate the patient and/or caregiver in device use, including donning/doffing garments and starting a therapy session.
• Schedule and complete trainings and demonstrations with patients.
• Explain financial responsibility, insurance coverage and finalize the sale of the product.
• Provide clear verbal instruction during demonstrations and tailor approach to individual needs.
• Prepare for trainings with all equipment, supplies, and documentation.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation of interactions.
• Travel up to 80% within assigned territory.
