Job summary

Akumin in Beckley, WV is seeking a Patient Coordinator for our mobile imaging unit. You will greet patients, register them in multiple systems, verify insurance, collect payments as needed, and ensure clear instructions before and after procedures.

In this role you’ll support the clinical team by transporting patients within the unit, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring accurate documentation of visits in electronic records. CPR certification is required prior to hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CPR certification before hire
• Valid state driver’s license
• Ability to work at multiple locations
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients, customers, and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems and verify insurance.
• May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• Transport patients to/from the exam room and assist in transfer.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies.
• Document patient visits accurately in electronic records.
