Job summary

Kniesel’s Collision, a Northern California family-owned collision repair leader, seeks a Traveling Paint Booth & Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair paint booths and facility equipment across multiple shops. You will ensure safety, compliance, and smooth operations while documenting activities and communicating with shop teams.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, travel across Northern California, hands-on training in paint booth systems, HVAC, and shop equipment, and

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read estimates, work orders, and SOPs.
• Able to travel between Kniesel locations and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and maintenance of paint booths to ensure safety and compliance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot ventilation, filtration, and temperature control systems.
• Replace filters, clean exhaust systems, and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Travel regularly to Kniesel locations to address maintenance needs.
• Document maintenance activities and keep detailed service records for each shop.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with shop managers to minimize disruption.
