Job summary

Kniesel’s Collision is seeking an entry-level Traveling Paint Booth & Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair paint booths and facility equipment across Northern California. The role supports safe, compliant shop operations and hands-on equipment work with clear documentation.

You will travel between locations, balance hands-on tasks with proactive communication, and enjoy independence while contributing to a large, family-owned company across 13 shops.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools for inspections and minor repairs.
• Ability to read and understand written estimates, work orders, and SOPs.
• Must read English fluently and be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and maintenance of paint booths and related equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot ventilation, filtration, and temperature control systems; replace filters and clean exhausts.
• Travel regularly to Kniesel’s Collision locations to address maintenance needs.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with shop managers to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain detailed service records and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements.
