Job summary

CN Guidance & Counseling Services is seeking a Community Outreach Transporter to drive the Mobile Recovery Unit RV/Box Truck to locations within Nassau/Suffolk County and assist with outreach events. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and prior experience driving large vehicles.

The position involves adhering to traffic laws, maintaining vehicle safety, completing daily logs, and supporting data sharing for partner decision making. Training and safety protocols are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience driving large vehicles.
• Valid driver license required.
• Clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Mobile Recovery Unit RV/Box Truck to designated worksite each day.
• Drive to scheduled outreach events as needed.
• Adhere to traffic laws and vehicle procedures.
• Ensure vehicles are fueled, insured, inspected, and up to date with maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles daily for cleanliness, lights, mirrors and safety equipment.
• Record mileage and daily RV/Box Truck safety checks; report issues promptly.
• Assist with setting up for outreach events and distributing educational materials.
• Share data with applicable individuals to support decision making.
