Job summary

Crisis Services in Buffalo, NY is seeking Mobile Crisis Counselors to provide on-site crisis intervention and assessments for individuals in crisis. The primary goals are client safety, suicide prevention, and hospital diversion, with compassionate care at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or other human service-related field plus one (1) year of supervised experience (pre- or post-graduate) providing services to individuals in a mental health or human service setting
• Associate's degree in human services-related field from an accredited educational institution plus a minimum of three (3) years of applicable professional experience
• A valid NYS driver’s license
• Access to a reliable vehicle with at least the minimum amount of automobile insurance required by New York State

The primary goals of this program are client safety, suicide prevention, and hospital diversion.Job Type:Full-TimePay:$26.26 - $30.75 per hour; exact pay rate will be determined based on prior experience and education levels according to collective bargaining agreement.Schedule:Four (4) 10-hr shifts per weekWednesday - Saturday or Sunday - Wednesday, 9am - 7pm (11am - 9pm every 3rd month)On-Call - This position requires paid on-call shifts in addition to regularly scheduled hours consistent with program needs and collective bargaining agreement.
