Pleasant Manor in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Mobile Outpatient Occupational Therapy Assistant for home visits. This PRN/FT-PT position offers a flexible schedule with mileage reimbursement and regular travel to patient sites.

Under OT supervision, you will provide rehabilitative interventions, ADL retraining, and therapeutic activities to geriatric clients, coordinating care with the Occupational Therapist to ensure regulatory compliance and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Pleasant Manor in Waxahachie, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Mobile Outpatient Occupational Therapy Assistant for home visits as part of our rehab program. Regular travel is required. This position offers a flexible schedule and mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, following regulatory and clinical standards under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
