Job summary

Vision To Learn is seeking a licensed optometrist for a fill-in mobile clinic serving Raleigh/Durham, NC. You will provide high-quality eye exams to students in underserved communities and assist with delivering glasses, supporting learning and opportunities.

The role offers a flexible schedule with a compensation of $135/hr. North Carolina license required; travel across Durham, Orange and Wake counties is expected.

Qualifications

• North Carolina Optometry License is required.
• Willingness to commute across Durham, Orange, and Wake counties for a mobile clinic.
• Must pass Department of Justice background check (LiveScan) and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision evaluations including VA checks, binocular vision assessment, refraction and ocular health evaluation.
• Prescribe vision devices and train patients on use of devices and tests.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient diagnoses in internal systems.
