Job summary

Eyetastic Services in New York provides on-site optometry services to nursing home residents using portable equipment for vision exams and care plans. You’ll travel between sites, coordinate with staff, and deliver high-quality seniors’ eye care with a patient-centered approach.

Choose a part-time or full-time schedule, approximately 3–5 days per week, with 5–6 hour shifts and no required evenings or weekends. A medical assistant supports daily tasks and scheduling is handled by the company.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Valid state optometry license or in process.

Responsibilities

• Visit nursing homes each day to perform on-site eye exams and vision care.
• Use portable equipment for refractions, glaucoma screenings, and retinal evaluations.
• Develop individualized care plans and prescribe lenses.
• Collaborate with optometric assistants and staff in a supportive team.
• Maintain accurate documentation for each patient encounter.
• Participate in follow-up care and coordinate with other healthcare professionals when needed.
• Uphold highest standards of patient-centered care and professionalism.
