Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist for a part-time, mobile role serving Lima, Ohio area. You will conduct eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and provide patient-centered care across multiple long-term care sites.

A $6k sign-on bonus and uncapped production-based pay of $600+ per day accompany a flexible 3-day schedule with full administrative support. Benefits are available for 4+ days per week, including medical/dental insurance and retirement options, with mileage

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist, to work Part Time (3 days per week) covering work sites in/around Lima, Ohio

• $6k Sign On Bonus available at 3 days per week

Responsibilities

Role Overview & Responsibilities for Optometrist:

• Conduct comprehensive exams, diagnose, treat and manage age-related ocular diseases, injuries and disorders of the eye.
• Traditional daily patient care will also include vision testing and prescribing spectacle lenses.
• Complete required patient and clinical documentation in our optometry electronic medical record system.
• Responsible for applying proper coding guidelines and populating appropriate billing codes for services provided to patients.
• Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment.

Qualifications

• Qualifications:
• Optometry background with proficiency in the assessment, treatment, management and evaluation of eye conditions and disorders.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use EMR, text, email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
• Self starter attitude with the desire to deliver quality, thoughtful and attentive care.

Physical Requirements For Optometrist

• Ability to stand, to bend, and to lift.
• Ability to transport optometry equipment (maximum of 15 lbs.).
• May be occasionally required to transport patients in wheelchairs.

Education & Qualifications

• O.D.
• Current State professional license.
• Valid driver’s license.

Travel

This is a mobile position. Daily travel is based on the patient care requirements for the specified service area; your Practice. A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive significant distances on occasion is required.
