HealthDrive is seeking a Part-Time Mobile Optometrist to join our Ohio practice. This role offers flexibility with 2 days per week, mobile exams at nursing homes and long-term care facilities, and the potential to earn $70k+ per year.

A $6,000 sign-on bonus is currently offered for part-time providers. You will perform exams, testing, and eyewear services with a patient-centered approach, while coordinating with our support team.

HealthDrive is seeking a Part‑Time (2 Days/week) Mobile Optometrist to join our Ohio Practice.

Our Optometrists are positioned to provide the utmost in patient–centered care, while receiving white glove concierge support from our seasoned Optometrist provider support team, based in Framingham, Massachusetts.

As an Optometrist with HealthDrive, we hand you a practice. From there, you will provide exams, testing and a variety of optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long‑term care facilities in a mobile fashion. As you partner with our team, you will guide us on your desired number of patients per day to maximize your income or achieve your perfect Work Life balance! Responsibilities

Role Overview for Optometrist:

• Conduct comprehensive exams, diagnose, treat and manage age‑related ocular diseases, injuries and disorders of the eye.
• Traditional daily patient care will also include vision testing and prescribing spectacle lenses.
• Complete required patient and clinical documentation in our optometry electronic medical record system.
• Responsible for applying proper coding guidelines and populating appropriate billing codes for services provided to patients.
• Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment.

Qualifications

• Optometry background with proficiency in the assessment, treatment, management and evaluation of eye conditions and disorders.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use EMR, text, email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.
• Self starter attitude with the desire to deliver quality, thoughtful and attentive care.

Physical Requirements for Optometrist:

• Ability to stand, to bend, and to lift.
• Ability to transport optometry equipment (maximum of 15 lbs.).
• May be occasionally required to transport patients in wheelchairs.

Education & Qualifications:

• O.D.
• Current State professional license.
• Valid driver’s license.

Travel:

This is a mobile position. Daily travel is based on the patient care requirements for the specified service area; your Practice. A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive significant distances on occasion is required.
