Job summary

Sightpath Medical is seeking a Surgical Technologist III to support ophthalmic surgeons with advanced mobile cataract and refractive procedures. In this field-based role, you will travel to partner facilities, set up and operate specialized ophthalmic equipment, maintain a sterile field, and assist surgeons throughout cases.

You will perform pre-op checks, basic troubleshooting, and ensure strict adherence to safety and infection control standards while collaborating with a service-focused team

Qualifications

• Ophthalmic surgical assistance and sterile field setup required.
• Experience with phacoemulsification equipment and IOL handling.
• Ability to travel to partner facilities and adapt to various OR environments.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and safe patient care.
• Proficient in documenting cases and equipment usage.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down ophthalmic surgical equipment for cataract and refractive procedures in mobile OR environments.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field, instruments, and supplies per infection control standards.
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures to ensure safe case flow and patient care.
• Perform pre-op equipment checks, troubleshoot, and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Travel to partner facilities and adapt to different OR environments.
• Document cases, equipment usage, and issues per company and regulatory requirements.
• Educate facility staff on proper use and care of ophthalmic equipment.
• Support safety and quality initiatives in a field-driven service team.
