Job summary

Sightpath Medical seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to support ophthalmic procedures across a mobile service model. You will accompany top surgeons, prepare equipment, and assist in cataract and LASIK cases in multiple facilities within your territory.

You must have a Surgical Technology degree and NBSTSA certification (NCCT acceptable in some territories); travel is required, with company vehicle provided, and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Surgical Technology and be certified or eligible to be certified through the NBSTSA. Certification through the NCCT may be acceptable depending on territory assigned.
• Adaptable and Travel-Ready: Comfortable with traveling to various locations within assigned territory; travel expenses covered (hotel, gas, meals).
• Excellent Communicator: Able to build strong relationships quickly with surgeons and teams.
• Self-Assured: Thrive in high-pressure environments with professionalism.
• Organized and Detail-Oriented: Manage equipment and complete admin tasks for territory.
• Operating Room Experience: Ophthalmic experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during ophthalmic procedures in mobile settings.
• Prepare and set up surgical instruments and equipment for cataract and LASIK cases.
• Ensure sterile technique and maintain intraoperative equipment readiness.
• Coordinate travel between facilities within the assigned territory.
• Support post-operative care and documentation as needed.

Who We're Looking For

• Certified Surgical Technologist: Must hold a degree in Surgical Technology and be certified or eligible to be certified through the NBSTSA. Certification through the NCCT may be acceptable depending on territory assigned.


• Adaptable and Travel-Ready: Comfortable with driving to various locations in assigned territory and staying overnight when needed. All travel expenses are covered (hotel stays, gas for company vehicle, and meal allowances while traveling)


• Excellent Communicator: Able to build strong relationships quickly with surgeons and their teams.


• Self-assured: Able to thrive in high-pressure environments with confidence and professionalism.


• Organized and Detail-Oriented: Skilled at managing equipment and completing administrative tasks required to support assigned territory.


• Operating Room Experience: Ophthalmic experience is a plus, but not required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)/driving record.


• Strong customer service and communication skills.


• Basic computer skills - will utilize a company iPhone and iPad


• Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with medical staff.
