Job summary

Sightpath Medical seeks a Surgical Technologist III to support ophthalmic surgeons with mobile cataract and refractive procedures. In this field-based role, you will travel to partner facilities, set up and operate specialized ophthalmic equipment, maintain a sterile field, and assist surgeons throughout cases.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down ophthalmic surgical equipment for cataract and refractive procedures in mobile OR environments.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field, instruments, and supplies according to infection control standards.
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures to ensure safe, efficient case flow and patient care.
• Perform pre-op equipment checks and basic troubleshooting; coordinate with technical teams for maintenance.
• Travel to partner facilities, adapting to different OR environments while upholding Sightpath Medical standards.
• Document cases, equipment usage, and issues following company and regulatory requirements.
• Educate facility staff on proper use and care of ophthalmic equipment.
• Support continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives within a field-driven team.
