Job summary

American Medical Administrators LTC seeks an experienced, licensed Nursing Home Administrator to serve as interim leader across facilities during vacancies and transitions. You will provide hands-on leadership to maintain resident care, regulatory compliance, and efficient daily operations.

With 5+ years as a licensed Administrator, you will oversee staffing, budgets, census growth, and quality outcomes while mentoring leaders and ensuring regulatory readiness across the footprint.

Qualifications

• Active MO LNHA license; KS LNHA preferred.
• 5+ years as licensed Administrator in a skilled nursing facility.
• Strong CMS regulations knowledge and quality improvement background.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and change-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as interim Licensed NHA at designated facilities during vacancies or transitions.
• Provide hands-on leadership to ensure smooth daily operations and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee resident care, staffing, budget adherence, census growth, and performance.
• Partner with clinical leaders to drive quality outcomes and survey readiness.
• Identify operational gaps and implement action plans to stabilize facilities.
• Mentor facility administrators and department leaders toward strong leadership culture.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, policy, and ethics.
• Collaborate with HR, Clinical, Compliance on investigations and personnel issues.
• Report to regional leadership on facility status and progress.
• Travel extensively (up to 75%) across the company's footprint.

This role calls for genuine empathy, strong work ethic, and the integrity and competence to lead teams while keeping resident care front and center.

What You'll Do

• Serve as interim Licensed NHA at designated facilities during vacancies or transitions
• Provide hands-on leadership to ensure smooth daily operations and regulatory compliance
• Oversee resident care, staffing, budget adherence, census growth, and overall performance
• Partner with clinical leaders to drive quality outcomes and survey readiness
• Identify operational gaps and implement action plans to stabilize and improve facilities
• Mentor facility administrators and department leaders to build strong leadership culture
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, company policy, and ethical standards
• Work with HR, Clinical, and Compliance on investigations, discipline, and personnel issues
• Report regularly to regional leadership on facility status and progress
• Travel extensively (up to 75%) across the company's operational footprint

What You'll Need

• Active MO LNHA (additional KS LNHA prefered)
• 5+ years as a licensed Administrator in a skilled nursing facility
• Proven success in operations, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, long-term care operations, and financial oversight
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong communication with staff, residents, families, and regional teams
• Comfort managing change in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Multi-facility/regional experience and turnaround/survey remediation experience a plus
