Job summary

MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is seeking experienced RN professionals for FirstChoice staffing assignments. Part-time, 12-hour night shifts offer flexibility and premium compensation across regional opportunities.

RNs must be licensed in the applicable state, with 18+ months in Med Surg/Tele/PCU or 2+ years in other specialties. Credentialing per specialty (ACLS/TNCC/PALS) is required through the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure in the applicable state(s).
• Minimum 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU; 2 years for other specialties.
• Credentials required per specialty (e.g., ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be via American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and multiple locations/regions.
• Apply standard nursing process: assess, identify outcomes, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Act independently within license and scope of practice.
• Ensure appropriate delegation and accountability for decisions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
• Embrace new ideas while managing competing priorities.
