Job summary

GRID Networks is seeking a Mobile Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain the mobile network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance across multiple nodes.

This role requires 3+ years in telecom, deep knowledge of 2G–5G signaling and core networks, Linux and scripting, and hands-on NMS/API experience. You will own production issues end to end and stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in telecom or mobile network operations.
• Knowledge across generations 2G–5G and beyond (signaling, voice, data, roaming).
• Linux OS and scripting experience (Python, Bash).
• Experience with NetConf, SNMP, RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with SS7/MAP, Diameter signaling, IMS, 3GPP specs, GSMA.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Detail-oriented problem solver owning production issues end to end.

You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining the mobile network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. You will have opportunities to work on multiple nodes of the network.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and maintain mobile network infrastructure, including access and core network components
• Manage network systems and configurations, ensuring high performance and availability
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless network operations and resolve issues promptly
• Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of our network
• Analyze network performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Participate in incident response and problem management, proving technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex network issues
• Provide technical support to other teams as needed
• Stay up to date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network operations

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years in telecommunications or network operations, with hands‑on experience supporting mobile network technologies.
• Understanding of mobile network technology across generations (2G–5G and beyond) — signaling, voice, SMS, data services, and international roaming.
• Linux operating system knowledge as well as scripting languages, such Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with network management systems, such as NetConf, SNMP, and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with SS7/MAP and Diameter signaling, IMS, VAS platforms, core network elements, ITU-T / 3GPP specifications, and GSMA recommendations, plus comfort working with APIs and operational data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Practical, detail‑oriented problem solver who's comfortable owning production issues end to end.
