Job summary

Akumin is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist at our Beckley, WV facility with travel to CAMC and WVU partner sites. The role emphasizes patient safety, high-quality imaging, and teamwork in a dynamic, on-the-go environment.

You will pre-screen for contraindications, perform MRI procedures, and collaborate with radiologists while maintaining patient comfort and safety. A valid ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry and CPR certification are preferred, with CPR required for mid-day moves.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry if required.
• Active CPR certification for mid-day moves.
• Active state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's
