Job summary

MedQuest Imaging is seeking a Mobile MR Technologist to join our expanding team, traveling to communities across the region to perform diagnostic MR scans and support physicians.

The role requires ARRT MR certification, MR experience, and strong patient safety, with 10- or 12-hour shifts and travel.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ARRT MR certification and program completion required.
• Minimum MR experience and an associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel with mobile MR truck and assist physicians during scans.
• Prepare patient and operate MR equipment to obtain diagnostic images.

Responsibilities

The Mobile MR Technologist travels with the mobile MR truck and assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School or GED required
• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program required
• 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of one year of experience in MR required

License/Certification:

• Certified and registered by ARRT in MR – RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) required
• IV Credentialed required
• Applicable state license required

Additional Skills/Requirements:

Well versed in MRI safety issues such as medical prosthetics and implants as well as general magnet care and safety. Ensure patient safety including pre- screening. Cultivate and maintain effective communication with customers and radiologist. Capable of troubleshooting the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment as to insure we provide only the highest quality of MRI studies. May be called on to train and mentor new technologist and Radiology Operations Assistants.Required flexibility with schedule changes. Travel is regularly required. Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
