Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Physician Assistants to join as independent contractors providing medical services to military service members in Texas. The role centers on weekend work with occasional weekday shifts, serving USAR, ARNG, USNR, MARFORRES, USCGR, ANG and USAFR environments.

Supervising physicians may be required per state rules, with active TX PA license and CPR/BLS certification as prerequisites. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments, reviewing medical histories, interviewing

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with primary care, urgent care or occupational health is preferred.
Adaptable to fast paced environments with large volumes of service members.
Ability to work extended hours and travel to remote military installations.

Responsibilities

Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
Identify concerns that need immediate attention, including behavioral health.
Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system.
