Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Nurse Practitioners to partner as independent contractors serving U.S. military members in Texas, primarily on weekends with occasional weekday work under the Reserve Health Readiness Program.

Responsibilities include health assessments, chart reviews, and documenting readiness in a proprietary system. Requires TX NP license, CPR/BLS, and willingness to travel to remote installations.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or occupational health preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.
• Able to work extended hours and travel to various locations including remote installations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support physical health assessments of service members.
• Review health history and medical records and questionnaires.
• Interview service members to determine medical concerns.
• Identify urgent concerns including behavioral health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record.
