Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors delivering health readiness services to military service members. Roles are primarily weekend-based with occasional weekday needs in VA, serving USAR, ARNG, USNR, MARFORRES, USCGR, ANG, and USAFR.

Responsibilities include physical health assessments, reviewing medical histories, interviewing personnel, and documenting results in our system.

Qualifications

Active NP license in VA (or state)
CPR/BLS Certification required
Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred
Experience with mobile medical services preferred
Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred
Willing to travel and work weekends
Not required to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications

Responsibilities

Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system.
