Job summary

Shared Medical Services is seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant to support technologists on a mobile imaging route, working on a state-of-the-art scanner and assisting with patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

This part-time role requires standing for long periods, potential lifting up to 75 pounds, and a background check; benefits include competitive pay, drive time reimbursement, and an ESOP option.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy/IV experience preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to walk and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologist in starting IVs.
• Assist in providing patient care on a mobile route, ensuring comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Transport patients between facilities and the mobile scanner.
• Help complete forms and position patients for examinations.
• Complete administrative tasks such as time/activity reports and billing.
