Job summary

Shared Medical Services seeks a Medical Imaging Assistant to support our mobile imaging teams across facilities in Kansas. This part-time role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality on the go. You will assist the technologist with IV starts, help transport patients, and handle light administrative tasks such as time and billing records.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy/IV experience preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, urine drug screen and physical.
• You must be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• You must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologist in starting IVs.
• Assist in providing patient care on a mobile route, maintaining comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Transport patients between the facility and the mobile scanner.
• Assist the Medical Technologist in completing forms and positioning patients to facilitate the examination.

We are currently seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant to join our team. This position offers a unique change of scenery by means of working on a state-of-the-art mobile scanner, and ability to meet new people from various facilities. Anticipated Schedule:

• Friday mornings

Responsibilities:

• Assist technologist in starting IVs
• Assist in providing excellent patient care on a mobile medical route, including maintaining patient comfort, safety and confidentiality
• Assist in transporting patients between the medical facility and the mobile scanner
• Assist the Medical Technologist in completing applicable forms and positioning patients on the scanner to facilitate the examination
• Complete necessary administrative tasks (i.e. time/activity reports and billing)
